Umi no Tonari was created as a quiet place to breathe — a small beachfront hotel and café in Kyotango where the sea and simple comfort come together.

Opening in May, our goal is simple: to create a place we would love to stay ourselves.

Why We Started This

What began as a dream slowly became a project — and then a reality.

Kyotango is beautiful, quiet, and often overlooked. We saw the opportunity to build something small and personal — a place that feels intentional rather than commercial. We wanted to create something independent, thoughtful, and rooted in this coastline.
